OUR CHOICE TO ADOPT:

We are excited to provide a supportive home for a child and hope they grow to know how
deeply loved they are by their birth mom and us. Our greatest dream is for them to feel safe,
secure, and confident in who they are. Part of that is allowing them to know their story and the
people who helped bring them into the world. If you are comfortable with it, we would love to
give our child the gift of knowing you. No matter what, we will always be grateful to you because
you brought this child into our lives.

MEET CASSAUNDRA:

I was born and raised in Orange County, California, and it has always been my happy place - I
love the beach and warm sunshine! I am a kindergarten teacher at a local public school.
Knowing I can impact the kids’ lives is what I love most about my job.
Happiest when:
• Watching the stars
• Riding waves on my surfboard
• Standing beneath the Redwood trees in California
I love everything about being a mom and consider it my greatest privilege! Waking up
knowing I get to be a mom is the best feeling, and I love doing life with my son by my side. I feel

very fortunate because I have wanted a child for as long as I can remember. I love the bond and
relationship I have with Miller; he lights up our whole world. I can’t wait to form a special bond
with our newest addition. I look forward to them joining us on our great adventures, playing
outside together, going on spontaneous trips to the beach, running around, and filling the house
with belly laughs from games of chase.

“I love Cassaundra’s caring nature and how she adds fun and adventure to our life. She is
always looking for new experiences for our son and finding ways to help him (and me) grow and
learn. She gives every ounce of herself to others with a smile and a laugh, and I don’t think she
realizes it. Whether it’s for Miller, me, her 27 kindergarteners in class, or our dog, she gives
everything and more.”

MEET DAN:

I am lucky to have grown up among the beautiful pine barrens of southern New Jersey. My
passions align with my role as the General Manager of a hospitality-based ranch property in the
Santa Ana Mountains. I am very proud of the opportunity to start a business from the ground up
with the property owners. My job is meaningful because I can spend my days outdoors,
share my passions with the guests, and each day is different.
Happiest when:
• Surrounded by the nature
• Weekend adventures with my family
• Cooking food for my friends and family
• Sleeping under the stars
My free time has changed over the years; it went from finding the next adventure with my wife
and friends to finding opportunities to teach my son and help him learn from our experiences. I
love spending all my time with him and enjoy sharing my passions with him as he grows and
learns. As we prepare to grow our family through adoption, I cannot wait to share our
lives with our new addition and help them form their experiences.

DAN IN CASSAUNDRA’S WORDS:

“Dan is the most loyal, kind-hearted, hardest-working person I know. He’s always the first to
help someone in need and always does the right thing. Dan is the type who will pick up trash
along our hikes and carry it in his back pocket so the trail can stay clean. He always looks out
for everyone around him, even strangers. Miller’s face lights up when Dan or ‘Dada’ comes
home. Dan changed his work schedule to have “dude dates” with Miller once a week, where he
watches Miller and takes him on adventures. He loves Miller deeply and always tells him how
proud he is and how much he loves him. It’s been so fun watching Dan become a dad.”
MILLER: advenerous and loving
Miller is an adventurous, free-spirited, and kind boy. He loves everyone around him to the fullest
and gives the biggest hugs and kisses! He wants to be involved in every part of our day, and
we gladly welcome him. He will make a great sibling because of his kind, compassionate
personality.

It’s important to us to show our children the world because we want them to learn through
diverse experiences and explore different cultures.

WELCOME TO OUR HOME:

We live in a 2-bedroom house in a beautiful Spanish coastal town in Southern California. Our
favorite thing about our home is the community around it. We love driving up to our house
and seeing the children playing outside. We also love that our front door opens to a beautiful
pond with lots of wildlife, such as turtles, koi fish, and birds. When we are home, we love having
family and friends and having BBQs. Dan always cooks up something elaborate, and we love to
share our home and food with the people we love.
We are grateful to have a backyard where the kids can play and several playgrounds in
the neighborhood with community pools. There are walking and bike paths spread
throughout the neighborhood, with trails that take you straight to the beach. Our neighbors are
friendly and diverse, which we appreciate because we get to participate in different cultures.

KIKI:

We have a Cavapoo (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel + Poodle) named Kiki. She loves nothing
more than playing with a tennis ball at the beach and enjoys a nice swim in the ocean or floating
on the paddle board. At home, her favorite thing is playing chase and tug of war with
Miller.

CASSAUNDRA’S FAMILY:

We are fortunate to see my dad (Papa), brother, and sister-in-law weekly since they live a few
minutes away. My mother passed away from cancer ten years ago, which was one of the
hardest experiences of my life. Miller has four cousins who enjoy chasing each other around
and laughing. We go to Papa’s house every Tuesday to play at the beach and have dinner.
Miller loves playing with the wooden trains and pretending to BBQ with him.

DAN’S FAMILY:

My family lives in New Jersey, but we spend every holiday together. We talk on the phone
weekly, and Miller loves FaceTiming his grandma (Lolly) and grandpa (Pop) every week. They
adore Miller and try to spend every second they can with him. My brother often travels for
work since he’s a tour manager, so anytime his band plays in California, he will stop at our
house to hang out.
