Katrina & Robert
Hello! We are Rob and Katrina. We appreciate the opportunity to share a little bit about our lives with you. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us and for considering us as parents to your child. We understand that each person has their own reasons for deciding to place their child for adoption and we empathize with all the emotions that come with this decision. We hope that we can help put your heart at ease by knowing that placing your child in our care will offer your child a life full of love, trips to Disneyland, fun times with grandparents and a community of friends who can’t wait to be a part of your child’s life.
I (Katrina) was born and raised in southern California. My parents and younger sister live in southern California as well. I have a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who are like family who can’t wait to add another member to the village to love and sometimes spoil. I received her B.S. and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC). I work as a pediatric physical therapist helping children with special health care needs learning gross motor skills. I love getting to know my patients and their families and enjoy helping them to learn how to assist their children with meeting their motor milestones. Seeing someone takes their first steps is always exciting and I can’t wait to see our child reach that goal. I enjoy baking and cake decorating and look forward to making many birthday cakes and classroom treats in the future. In my free time, you can find me at Disneyland. I can’t wait to share my love of Disney with a child. I look forward to seeing the joys of Disney through their eyes.
Rob was born and raised in southern California. His father and step mother live 15 minutes away and are excited about having a grandchild to love and take to Dodger baseball games. Rob graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a B.A. in English. He currently works in waste management. He enjoys riding his bike and playing video games. Rob fondly remembers learning how to cook from his step mom. He hopes one day to share his passion for food and cooking with his child using the vegies and herbs they have grown together in their garden. Cooking is something our family shares together on a daily basis, and he would love to pass this on to his child. Rob would also love to pass down the lemon tree that he’s been growing from a seedling. It has grown to about 4 feet so far. These are just some of the things Rob can’t wait to do and share with his child, together throughout their lives.
We live in a townhome with 3 bedrooms. Our tight knit community has a private playground where all of our neighborhood children love to play. We often play with our neighbor’s children there and look forward to the joy on our child’s face as they slide down the slide. Rob’s parents have a pool where many BBQ’s and pool parties take place. We look forward to teaching our child how to swim and hope they learn to love the water.
We can’t wait for all that parenthood holds for us. From the happy smiles, to wiping away the tears, we want to be there for it all. Rob plans on staying home and taking our child when I am at work. Although I will be sad to miss out on some of the little daily moments with our child, I am happy to know that they will be raised by a loving man who can’t wait to be a dad. We hope to be supportive parents who are there for every school activity or sporting event, all the late-night feedings and early morning play times.
Thank you again for taking the time to get to know us. Our home is filled with lots of laughter and love and we can’t wait to share that with a child. We hope this letter gave you a picture of who we are and the parents we hope to become. We look forward to hearing from you.
