This past Sunday, the 20+ HaMercaz Partners joined together to hold their 2nd annual Jewish Disability Awareness and Inclusion Month (JDAIM) Family Celebration on Vista Del Mar’s campus. Around 250 folks of ALL ages and ALL abilities played games, made art, read stories, did gymnastics, stroked dogs, goats, bunnies and a pig named Pumba, Israeli danced, played sports and games and musical instruments, got glitter tattoos, climbed trees, made sushi and used a bike blender to make lemonade – ALL together!. There was also delicious food, wonderful music, and fantastic musical performances. It was a beautiful day on our beautiful campus with beautiful human beings celebrating ALL together. All of those present experienced how inclusion has the power to elevate a whole community! Vista Del Mar is proud to be a HaMercaz partner and to have been part of the planning committee for this event!
